Her Excellency Mrs Chitralekha Yadav, Ambassador of Nepal to the Commonwealth of Australia presented Letters of Credence to Her Excellency the Honorable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia amid a special ceremony organized at the Government House in Canberra today. Ambassador Mrs. Yadav was accorded Guard of Honor at the ceremony.
Following the credential ceremony, Ambassador Mrs. Yadav paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency the Honorable Governor General of Australia. On the occasion, Her Excellency the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes of the Rt. Hon’ble Ram Chandra Paudel, President of Nepal to Her Excellency the Governor-General of Australia. Ambassador Mrs Yadav also re-iterated the invitation of the Rt. Hon’ble President of Nepal to Her Excellency the Honorable Governor General of Australia to visit Nepal.
During the meeting, they shared views on various aspects of bilateral relations between Nepal and Australia which is based on mutual understanding, trust and cooperation and fostered by growing people to people relations.
While congratulating to Ambassador Mrs Yadav, the Governor General expressed her best wishes for successful tenure.
Representative of the Foreign Minister, Official Secretary, Chief of Protocol, and other high-ranking officials from Australian Government, and Mr Shree Krishna Yadav, Spouse of the Ambassador and staff of the Embassy of Nepal were also present at the credential ceremony.
Following the credential ceremony, Ambassador Mrs. Yadav and her spouse attended the luncheon hosted by the Governor-General of Australia.
