Press Release- Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs to Pay an Official Visit to the People’s Republic of China

Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Mr Shisir Khanal is paying an official visit to the People’s Republic of China from 14 to 17 June 2026 at the cordial invitation of H. E. Mr Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
The Hon. Minister will hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart H. E. Mr Wang Yi in Beijing and discuss matters of mutual interest for further strengthening Nepal-China relations and advancing deeper cooperation. The Hon. Minister will also meet with high-level dignitaries of the People’s Republic of China.
During the visit, the Hon. Minister will participate in the Investment Conference organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing to promote foreign investment in Nepal where he will hold an interaction with the Chinese business community.
He will also attend the welcome reception, to be hosted in his honour by the Embassy of Nepal, and interact with the the Nepali Community.
The Hon. Minister will return to Kathmandu on 17 June 2026.
