Political Relations
Diplomatic relations between Nepal and Romania were established on 20 April 1968. Relations between the two countries are based on friendship, mutual respect and cooperation. The Embassy of Nepal in Berlin is concurrently accredited to Romania whereas the Embassy of Romania in New Delhi is concurrently accredited to Nepal. Romania has established its Honorary Consulate in Kathmandu.
Exchange of Visits/Meetings

Trade Relations
Nepal primarily exports goods to Romania such as articles of apparel and clothing accessories (not knitted or crocheted), other made-up textile articles, worn clothing and textile products, as well as articles of leather and animal gut. Similarly, Nepal imports from Romania range of goods including edible vegetables, certain roots and tubers, inorganic chemicals, machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment, and medical or surgical instruments and apparatus.
