Press Release

In view of the persistent efforts made by the Government of Nepal in relation to the release of Mr. Bipin Joshi, taken hostage by Hamas along with other hostages during its attack on Israel on 7 October 2023, H.E. Mr. Dhan Prasad Pandit, Ambassador of Nepal to Israel, had a telephone conversation with His Excellency Mr. Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel this afternoon. In the telephone conversation, H.E. the President of Israel stated that his government is making every effort to ensure the safe release and repatriation of all the hostages including Nepali citizen Mr. Joshi.

Earlier, Honourable Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba had a telephone conversation with her Israeli counterpart H. E. Mr. Gideon Sa’ar on 14 January 2025 where she urged for the goodwill of Israeli government for the release of Mr. Bipin Joshi.
