His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE paid a courtesy calls on the Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. KP Sharma Oli and the Rt. Hon’ble President Mr. Ram Chandra Paudel at the Office of the Prime Minister, Singha Durbar and Office of the President, Maharjgunj respectively.

Earlier today, a bilateral meeting between Nepali delegation led by the Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Mr. Prakash Man Singh and the UAE delegation led by His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAESheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was held at Hilton Hotel, Kathmandu.

During the bilateral meeting and calls on, the two sides took stock of the entire gamut of bilateral relations between our two nations with the motive of further deepening and expanding engagements between Nepal and the UAE. The two sides exchanged views on matters relating to political relations, exchange of high-level visits, trade, investment and economic partnership, labour migration, human resource development, tourism, air connectivity, people-to-people relations, climate change and Sagarmatha Sambaad, and ongoing collaboration at the international arena among many other issues of pertinence to both sides.

While expressing satisfaction over the friendly ties so happily subsisting between Nepal and the UAE, both sides reiterated their commitment to continue engaging with a view to expanding relations on various areas of cooperation by opening up the avenues of opportunities for the shared prosperity.

Nepali delegation comprised of Hon’ble Mr. Sharat Singh Bhandari, Mr. Amrit Bahadur Rai, the Foreign Secretary, Dr. Krishna Hari Pushkar, Secretary, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, and other senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

H.E. Ahmed Ali Mohamed Al Sayegh, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Saeed Mubarak Rashed Alhajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs and other high-level officials participated in the meeting from the UAE side.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and the accompanying delegation departed for the UAE this afternoon upon completion of a two-day official visit to Nepal.

His Highness was seen off at Tribhuvan International Airport by the Hon’ble Mr. Sharat Singh Bhandari, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security accompanied by Mr. Amrit Bahadur Rai, Foreign Secretary of the Government of Nepal and other senior officials of the Government of Nepal.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his delegation had arrived in Kathmandu yesterday.
