Press Release on the Conclusion of the Official Visit of the Vice President of Viet Nam

Her Excellency Madam Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, paid a courtesy call on the Right Honourable President, Mr. Ramchandra Paudel, at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Kathmandu, today. During the meeting, the Right Honourable President and Her Excellency the Vice President underscored the significance of Lumbini as a cultural bridge between the peoples of the two countries. They also exchanged views on strengthening people-to-people ties and working together to deepen and diversify bilateral relations.

Her Excellency the Vice President also visited Patan Durbar Square and Boudhanath Stupa this afternoon.

Concluding her visit, Her Excellency Madam Vo Thi Anh Xuan departed from Kathmandu for Viet Nam this evening. The Honourable Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, along with other senior officials of the Government of Nepal, was present at the VVIP Lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport to see off the Vice President.

At the invitation of Right Honourable Mr. Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Vice President of Nepal, Her Excellency the Vice President had arrived in Nepal on 23 August 2025 for a three-day official visit.
