The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Mr. Taro Kono paid a courtesy call on the Rt. Hon’ble President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter’s office, Sheetal Niwas today. During the courtesy call, matters related to Nepal-Japan relations were discussed.
Earlier today, Foreign Minister Mr. Kono paid a courtesy call on the Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. K P Sharma Oli. During the courtesy call, various aspects of Nepal-Japan bilateral relations, regional and global issues of common concerns were discussed. While sharing the recent political achievements and priorities of the Government, the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister appreciated the Government of Japan for its continued support and cooperation in socio-economic development of Nepal. H.E. Mr. Kono assured of the Government of Japan’s continued assistance to Nepal in realizing its development goals.
Foreign Minister Mr. Kono left Kathmandu today upon completion of his 2-day official visit to Nepal.

सम्माननीय राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती विद्यादेवी भण्डारीज्यूसँग जापानका विदेशमन्त्री महामहिम श्री तारो कोनोले आज उहाँको कार्यालय शीतल निवासमा शिष्टाचार भेट गर्नुभयो। भेटका अवसरमा नेपाल-जापान द्विपक्षीय सम्बन्धका बिषयहरुमा छलफल भएको थियो।
यसअघि आजै विदेशमन्त्री श्री कोनोले सम्माननीय प्रधानमन्त्री श्री केपी शर्मा ओलीज्यूसँग शिष्टाचार भेट गर्नुभयो। भेटका अवसरमा नेपाल-जापान द्विपक्षीय सम्बन्ध तथा क्षेत्रीय एवं अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय साझा चासोका विषयहरुमा छलफल भयो। सम्माननीय प्रधानमन्त्रीज्यूले नेपालले हासिल गरेको राजनीतिक उपलब्धिहरु तथा सरकारका प्राथमिकताहरुका बारेमा उल्लेख गर्दै नेपालको सामाजिक-आर्थिक विकासका लागि जापान सरकारको निरन्तर सहयोग तथा समर्थनको प्रशंसा गर्नुभयो। महामहिम श्री कोनोले नेपालले लिएका विकासका लक्ष्यहरु प्राप्तिका लागि जापान सरकारको निरन्तर सहयोग रहने आश्वासन दिनुभयो।
विदेशमन्त्री श्री कोनो नेपालको २-दिने औपचारिक भ्रमण सम्पन्न गरी आज काठमाण्डौबाट फर्किनुभयो।
