At the friendly invitation of the Government of Japan, President Rt. Hon. Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari is paying an official visit to Japan from 20 to 22 October 2019 to attend the Ceremony of the Enthronement of His Majesty Naruhito, the Emperor of Japan, to be held on 22 October 2019.
The President will depart for Tokyo following the completion of the state visit to Myanmar.
The Rt. Hon. President will attend the Enthronement Ceremony on 22 October 2019. After the Ceremony, the President will attend the Court Banquet to be hosted by His Majesty Naruhito, the Emperor of Japan.
During the visit, the Rt. Hon. President will hold meetings with the President of India H. E. Shri Ram Nath Kovind and the Prime Minister of Japan H. E. Mr. Shinzo Abe.
The Rt. Hon. President will also attend the welcome reception hosted in her honour by the Ambassador of Nepal to Japan H. E. Mrs. Prativa Rana and the welcome programme to be organized by Non-Resident Nepali Association, Japan.
The Rt. Hon. President will be accompanied by Hon. Mr. Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, Minister for Home Affairs, and other high ranking officials of the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Rt. Hon. President will return to Kathmandu on 23 October 2019.
