Press Release on Nepalese Delegation to the 70th UNGA Session

In view of the political development in the country in the aftermath of the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal.Right Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Sushil Koirala has deputed Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Mr. Prakash Man Singh to lead the Nepali delgation to the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly as well as the Summit for the Adoption of the Post-2015 development Agenda being held in New York on 25-27 September 2015.

As per the earlier arrangement, the Right Hon’ble Prime Minister himself was scheduled to lead the Nepali delegation in consideration of the significance of the current session being hels on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations that also coincides with the 60th anniversary of Nepal’s membership of the United Nations.

Other members of the delegation include Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr.Narayan Gopal Malego,Officiating Foreign Secretary Mr. Shanker Das Bairagi as well as other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

H.E. Mr. Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations, New York, H.E. Dr. Arjun Kumar Karki. AMbassador of Nepal to the United States of America and other high level officials of the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations will join the delegation from New York.
