Tourism Promotional Programme organized in Bangkok, Thailand

 

Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Society of Travel and Tour Operators (SOTTO) – Nepal jointly organized “Nepal Evening 2019: B2B Tourism Event”in Bangkok on 14 June 2019.

Welcoming the participants, Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Thailand H.E. Mr. Ganesh Prasad Dhakal shed light on the prospects of tourism cooperation between Nepal and Thailand and called on the Thai investors for their investment in tourism sector of Nepal. He also requested the travel/tour operators to publicize the tourism attractions of Nepal among Thai people and encourage them to visit Nepal in order to make the Government’s campaign of Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success.

Speaking on the same occasion, Mr. Ghanashyam Upadhyaya, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal spoke about the tourism attractions of Nepal and called upon the business entrepreneurs to explore the business opportunities in Nepal.

Mr. Suman Ghimire from Nepal Tourism Board made a presentation on “Tourism in Nepal”, and Mr. Bikram Pandey Kaji, Goodwill Ambassador of Lumbini, made a presentation on “Lumbini: Buddhist Circuit”.

Mr. Assajita Awale, President of NRNA-NCC Thailand, also spoke on the occasion.

President of SOTTO-Nepal Mr. Madhusudan Upadhyaya extended a vote of thanks in the programme.

During the programme, businesspersons from both countries had a productive B2B session.

Also in the programme, promotional materials were distributed and Nepali cultural performances were also presented.

A significant number of travel/tour operators from Nepal and Thailand, representatives of various organizations of Thailand, representatives of NRNA and officials of the Embassy participated in the programme.

The programme remained effective to further enhancing the publicity of Nepal’s tourism attractions in Thailand.
