The Rt. Hon. President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari has sent a message of condolences to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, on the passing away of late Amir His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In the message, the Rt. Hon. President has extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the royal family and Government and the people of Kuwait. The Rt. Hon. President has said that late Amir was a visionary statesman who made significant contribution for peace, progress and prosperity of his people and played important role in fostering understanding and cooperation in the region.
Separately, the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Mr. K P Sharma Oli has also sent a message of condolences to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, expressing deep sadness on the passing away of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait. In the message, the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister has stated that Nepal has lost a true friend and well-wisher in the demise of late Amir.
