Press Release on Honorable Foreign Minister’s Official Visit to Doha, Yerevan and Geneva

Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon’ble Mr. Narayan Prakash Saud is leaving Kathmandu for Doha on Saturday, 09 December 2023, leading the Nepali delegation to Doha Forum 2023, being held in Doha from 10 – 11 December 2023.

Doha Forum is a platform of dialogue among leaders and government officials, heads of multilateral organizations, private sector executives, think tanks and opinion makers. Contemporary global and regional issues feature in various discussion sessions during the Forum.

Hon. Foreign Minister is scheduled to have courtesy calls on the high dignitaries of the State of Qatar and will have bilateral meetings in the sidelines of the Forum with his counterparts.

Hon. Foreign Minister will leave for Geneva on 12 December 2023 to attend “Human Rights75” High Level Event to commemorate the Seventy-fifth Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. He will address the Leaders’ Segment and High-level Pledging Event.

Hon. Foreign Minister will leave for Yerevan, Armenia on 13 December 2023 to attend Landlocked Developing Countries’ Ministerial Meeting being held from 14 – 15 December 2023. He will address the Ministerial Meeting and will have bilateral meetings with high-level dignitaries in the margin of the meeting. The LLDCs ministerial meeting is being organized jointly by the Government of Armenia and UN-OHRLLS as a preparatory process of Third United Nations Conference on LLDCs.

Hon. Foreign Minister will return to Kathmandu on 16 December 2023 upon completion of high-level engagements in Doha, Geneva and Yerevan.
