Press release on Hon. Foreign Minister leading Nepali delegation to the Second High Level UN Conference on South-South Cooperation

Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is leaving for Argentina tomorrow leading a Nepali delegation to the Second High-level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation being held in Buenos Aires from 20 to 22 March 2019.

The Foreign Minister will deliver Nepal’s national statement at the plenary of the Conference on the role of South-South Cooperation and the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities.

Hon. Foreign Minister will also participate as a panelist to the event entitled Leveraging South-South and Triangular Cooperation to Advance Sustainable Development in Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States being organize by UN-OHRLLS.

The Foreign Minister will also participate in a High Level Dialogue with Asian Countries being organized by the Argentinean Foreign Minister on 21 March 2019. On the sidelines of the Conference, Hon. Foreign Minister will engage in bilateral meetings with his counterparts from various countries.

The delegation comprises of Ambassador of Nepal to Brazil H.E. Mr. Tara Prasad Pokharel, and an official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Hon. Foreign Minister will leave for Kathmandu on 23 March 2019.
