The Right Honourable Prime Minister Mr. K P Sharma Oli has sent a message of congratulations to Her Excellency Ms. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the landslide victory of National League for Democracy (NLD) in the recent general elections.
In his message, the Right Honourable Prime Minister has said that the result of the elections is a testimony of the faith of the people of Myanmar in the able leadership of Her Excellency Suu Kyi and the popularity of her party among the people.
While recalling the State Counsellor’s successful visit to Nepal in November 2018, the Right Honourable Prime Minister has expressed the hope that the bonds of friendship and close cultural ties existing between Nepal and Myanmar will be further strengthened in the years to come.
