The Rt. Hon. Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, President, and the Rt. Hon. Mr. K P Sharma Oli, Prime Minister, sent separate messages of condolences to His Excellency Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of India and His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India respectively on the sad demise of Smt. Sushma Swaraj, senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and former External Affairs Minister of India on 6 August 2019.

In the messages, the President and the Prime Minister have expressed heartfelt condolences to their Indian counterparts and through them to the people of India, Bharatiya Janata Party and the bereaved family members.
