Honorable Pradeep Gyawali assumed the office of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal today.
Foreign Secretary Mr. Shanker Das Bairagi and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Minister on his arrival at the Ministry.
Upon assuming the Office, Honorable Gyawali briefly addressed the officials of the Foreign Ministry and outlined his priorities.
Minister Gyawali said that achieving the two important priorities of the present government- stability and economic prosperity with social justice- will guide the functioning of his office. He said that our conduct of diplomacy and implementation of foreign policy should serve those principal priorities of the Government.
The Foreign Minister highlighted that maintaining cordial and balanced relations with our neighbors and other friendly countries, serving our national interest, and playing constructive role in the multilateral forums will be important elements of our foreign relations.
