Press Release on the Presentation of Credentials by the Ambassador of Nepal in Lao PDR

His Excellency Mr. Khaga Nath Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to Lao People’s Democratic Republic, presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Lieutenant General Choummaly Soyasone, President of Lao PDR, in the President’s Palace in Vientiane this afternoon.

Receiving the credentials from H. E. the Ambassador of Nepal, H. E. the President warmly welcomed the Nepalese Ambassador to Lao PDR. The President expressed his greetings to Nepal’s President, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, and best wishes for the President’s personal health and happiness as well as peace and prosperity of the Nepalese people. Mentioning the traditionally good and friendly relationship between Lao PDR and Nepal, H. E. the President stated that the two countries are exchanging good cooperation in international forums, and need to equally focus on promoting bilateral cooperation. He also briefed the Ambassador about the achievements made by Lao PDR in recent decades.

H. E. the Ambassador sincerely thanked H. E. the President for sparing time to receive him in Vientiane. He conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Rt. Hon. President of Nepal for H. E. the President and the people of Lao PDR. He expressed happiness at the opportunity to represent Nepal to the friendly country of Lao PDR, and stated that he would try his best to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He briefed H. E. the President about the ongoing process of constitution making in Nepal, and expressed his conviction that Nepal would soon take a definite course of socio-economic development with the new constitution. On behalf of the Government and the people of Nepal, H. E. the Ambassador expressed best wishes for the President’s personal health and happiness and peace, progress and prosperity of the Laotian people.

H. E. Mr. Adhikari is resident ambassador of Nepal in Bangkok, concurrently accredited to Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
