The Prime Minister of Nepal Rt. Hon. K. P. Sharma Oli arrived in Beijing this evening for an official visit to the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Li Keqiang.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by his spouse and a delegation consisting of Ministers, Members of Parliament, senior government officials as well as representatives from business community and media.
On his arrival, the Prime Minister was received at the Beijing Capital International Airport by high ranking officials of the People’s Republic of China, as well as Ambassador of Nepal to China H.E. Leela Mani Paudyaland Embassy officials.
Later in the evening, Prime Minister Oli attended a reception hosted in his honor by the Ambassador of Nepal to China. The reception was attended by government officials, diplomats, businessmen, academicians, and media-persons of China.
In his remarks at the function, the Prime Minister shared his vision for further strengthening Nepal-China relations and strengtheningbilateral co-operation in the areas of connectivity, trade and investment, tourism, energy and natural resources and environment.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also launched the official WeChat account of the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing and unveiled a special publication on tourism and investment opportunities of Nepal.
