His Excellency Dr. Khaga Nath Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to Brunei, presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei, amidst a special ceremony organized in the Royal Palace in Brunei Darussalam this afternoon.
During the audience with His Majesty the Sultan after the presentation of credentials, H. E. the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings from the Rt. Hon. President of Nepal, Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, to HM the Sultan, and her best wishes for health and happiness of the Sultan and peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Brunei. H. E. The Ambassador also mentioned the warm and friendly relationship between Nepal and Brunei, and highlighted the importance of further promoting cooperation between the two countries.
His Majesty the Sultan has expressed his willingness to visit Nepal at a mutually convenient time.
Today itself, H. E. the Ambassador attended a breakfast meetings hosted by H. E. YB Pahin Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei. During the interactions, the two sides discussed about the opportunities that exist for promoting bilateral cooperation between Nepal and Brunei.
In the evening of 28 November, the Embassy of Nepal, in cooperation with NRNA, Brunei, organized a promotional programme in Brunei. During the programme, the Embassy briefed the audience about the opportunities for promoting tourism and investment in Nepal, and invited the Brunei citizens to visit Nepal and make investment there.
H.E. Dr. Adhikari is Nepal’s resident Ambassador in Bangkok, Thailand, and is concurrently accredited to Brunei.
