Press Release on bilateral meetings held on the sidelines of High-level Commemorative Meeting to mark the 60th anniversary of the NAM

Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Dr. Narayan Khadka had a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia at the Palace of Serbia today on the sidelines of the High-level Commemorative Meeting to mark the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement. During the meeting, Hon. Minister congratulated the President for convening the  Meeting to mark the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement and extended best wishes for the success of the event.

Both sides had fruitful discussion of mutual interest on bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Foreign Minister Khadka also conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Rt. Hon.  President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Earlier, Hon. Minister had a meeting with His Excellency Mr.Nikola Selaković, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia. The two sides exchanged views on range of issues of mutual interest on bilateral and multilateral cooperation with focus on education, agriculture, trade and investment.  Hon. Minister extended invitation to His Excellency Mr.Nikola Selaković, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbia to visit Nepal at a mutually convenient date.

Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr.Narayan Khadka arrived in Belgrade on Friday and is leading a four member delegation to the Meeting. Hon. Minister was received by the senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. He is scheduled to address the meeting tomorrow.
