Press Release on the First Meeting of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism Between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and the State of Isreal

The first meeting of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel was held in Kathmandu today. The matters of bilateral relations and mutual interest between Nepal and the State of Israel were discussed on that occasion.

The meeting reviewed the current status of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economic, technical and cultural cooperation between the two countries and discussed on ways to further develop the cooperative relations and partnership in the days to come.

The Israeli side was led by H.E. Mr. Gilad Cohen, Deputy Director-General for Asia and Pacific Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel and the Nepali side was led by Mr. Durga Prasad Bhandari, Joint Secretary, Central Asia, West Asia and Africa Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal. Ambassador of Israel in Nepal H.E. Mr. Benny Omer was also present during the meeting as a member of the Israeli Delegation.
