Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Mr. Kamal Thapa is leaving for the United Kingdom on 15 December 2015. Deputy Prime Minister Thapa will meet his British counterpart, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, the Rt. Hon. Philip Hammond MP, Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Rt. Hon. Hugo Swire MP, DFID Minister the Rt. Hon. Desmond Swayne MP, members of British Parliament and other important members of British society and the Nepalese living in the UK during his visit.
In course of his visit, Deputy Prime Minister Thapa will attend a special Bicentenary Reception hosted by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London on 16 December to commemorate the two-hundred years of Nepal-UK relations.
Senior officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs will accompany the Hon. Deputy Prime Minister.
On 17 December, Nepalese delegation led by the Joint Secretary at the Europe America Division of the Ministry will participate in the second Nepal-UK Bilateral Consultation Meeting.
Minister Thapa will return home on 21 December 2015.
