Nepal has strongly deplored the terrorist attack in Balkh province of Afghanistan on 21 April 2017 that caused a heavy loss of lives of soldiers and left many more injured.
Rt. Hon’ble President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari and Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ sent separate messages to His Excellency Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, today and extended heartfelt condolences to him and through him to the bereaved families as well as to the people and Government of Afghanistan. They also wished for speedy recovery of those injured. While reiterating Nepal’s position of condemning terrorism in all forms and manifestations, they expressed support to efforts to counter terrorism and bring to justice those responsible for such heinous acts.
