Press release on messages of congratulations to the Chinese President

The President of Nepal, Rt. Honorable Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, has extended felicitations to H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping on his re-election as the President of the People’s Republic of China today.
Likewise, the Rt. Honorable Vice-President, Mr. Nanda Bahadur Pun ‘Pasang’, has sent a separate message of congratulations to H.E. Mr. Wang Qishan on his election as the Vice-President of the People’s Republic of China.
Similarly, Prime Minister of Nepal, the Rt. Honorable Mr. K. P. Sharma Oli has also extended felicitations to H. E. Mr. Xi Jinping on his re-election as the President of the People’s Republic of China.
In her message, the Rt. Honorable President has highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations between Nepal and China that are characterized by friendship, cordiality, and mutual cooperation. The President has expressed confidence that the cordial relations between the two countries will continue to deepen during the Chinese President’s tenure.
In his message to his Chinese counterpart the Vice-President Rt. Honorable Pun has expressed happiness over the friendly state of Nepal-China relations. He has conveyed his confidence that the relations will continue to grow from strength to strength in the days to come.
In his message, Prime Minister Rt. Honorable Oli has underlined the excellent state of friendly relations between Nepal and China, which have been further nurtured by the exchange of high-level visits and people-to-people contacts. He has also expressed hope that theses relations would be further strengthened to the mutual satisfaction during the tenure of the Chinese President. The Prime Minister has reiterated Nepal’s commitment to One China policy and not allowing its territory for any activity against China.
